H1N1 Letter to Parents

With the assistance of the Brazoria County Health Department, we are monitoring the level of flu-like illness (specifically H1N1 which is more commonly known as the “swine flu”) in our community.  All information from the health department indicates a low level of illness in the community at this time.

As you recall, in the spring, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommended that schools close if students were diagnosed with H1N1.  That is no longer the case.  Now, the CDC recommends that H1N1 be treated as regular seasonal flu.
