 Drivers Need to
Be Cautious in
School Zones
AISD urges the community to drive safely, especially in school zones. The safety of our students who walk and drive to school is highly important to us and the community. So please drive safely and know the laws.
To help keep children safe, the 81st Texas Legislative session recently passed House Bill 55. As of September 1, 2009, it will be illegal to use a wireless communication device while driving in a school zone unless the vehicle is stopped or a hands free device is being used. |
