The fourth grader won first place in an essay writing contest about what families will do to evacuate during the next hurricane.  The award was presented by the Hurricane Preparedness Committee and Texas Dow Employees Credit Union Insurance-Brazoria County LEPC.

 AISD Athletics is hosting its 1st Annual Calvin Phillips Basketball School.  The camp is open to all AISD incoming 6th – 9th graders, and each camper will receive a t-shirt.

 

Date:  July 6 – 9

Time:  8:00 a.m. – Noon

Location:  Angleton Intermediate School Gym

Cost:  $25 (cash or money orders only—no checks)

This year's tax levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy. The following statement must be included on the home page of any Internet website operated by ANGLETON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT:


ANGLETON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.THE TAX RATE WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY 0.
